Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy, Inc. has been operating in Carroll County for the past 15 years, although we have changed locations and name, we strive to give our members the best possible service. Master Bun Huor, chief instructor and 6th degree black belt, has been teaching martial arts for over 20 years. He has been awarded numerous awards for his achievements including "Instructor of the Year" and he has competed in the highest level of competition, the Olympics. [read more]

We are offering a new "Tiny Tigers" program for the ages of 3 - 4 1/2. All of our classes are age appropriate and are taught with that age in mind. Gross motor skills as well as listening skills are just a few of the skills taught in this class.

Mommy & Me - These classes for ages 2 - 3 1/2- can enjoy a fun filled curriculum and at the same time develop movement awareness, motor skills, balance, coordination, flexibility & agility. Both parent and child enjoy the benefits of tae kwon do. Classes form in early Fall, Spring and Summer, call early, spaces are limited!

Martial Arts Birthday Parties - Mom & Dad, sit back and relax while we take the worries away (and clean up). Enjoy a Samurai cake cutting ceremony, demonstrations, food, drinks, invitations, and games. All you do is bring us the kids!

Kickin’ Kids After School Martial Arts Program - Enjoy two activities for the price of one! Transportation provided from your child’s school to our facility by way of our ‘STKD’ Van. Why not have your children doing something worthwhile after school!

TEAM SYKESVILLE TAE KWON DO “KICKS CANCER OUT THIS UNIVERSE” FOR RELAY FOR LIFE

Several Students and families from Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy spent the last several months raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Through generous donations of friends and family members, as well as fundraisers sponsored by local area restaurants and a vendor fair, the team raised in excess of $1800.00. Donations are still coming in.

Team members include: Sue Lovelace, Chris Lovelace, Kelly Patten, Cyndy Izadi, Mohammed Izadi, Bijan Izadi, Mike Johnston, Kim Johnston, Michael Nelson, Bea Nelson, Dave Love, Rick Steinebrunner and Cindy Steinebrunner. Members also include the following Kids’ Walk participants: Lilianna Izadi, Austin Johnston, Brandon Johnston, Hannah Johnston, Aiden Lovelace, Karley Lovelace, Kayin Lovelace, Alexandra Nelson, Anastasia Nelson, Michael Steinebrunner and Tommy Steinebrunner.

Over the last several years, Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy has sponsored teams for the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk for breast cancer, Avon Walk for breast cancer, and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. To date, they have raised approximately $30,000.00 for the fight against cancer.

Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy has been providing Martial Arts instruction to members of the Sykesville/Eldersburg community for over 20 years. Age appropriate programs are available for ages 18 months through adult.
