TEAM SYKESVILLE TAE KWON DO “KICKS CANCER OUT THIS UNIVERSE”

Several Students and families from Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy spent the last several months raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Through generous donations of friends and family members, as well as fundraisers sponsored by local area restaurants and a vendor fair, the team raised in excess of $1800.00. Donations are still coming in.
Team members include: Sue Lovelace, Chris Lovelace, Kelly Patten, Cyndy Izadi, Mohammed Izadi, Bijan Izadi, Mike Johnston, Kim Johnston, Michael Nelson, Bea Nelson, Dave Love, Rick Steinebrunner and Cindy Steinebrunner. Members also include the following Kids’ Walk participants: Lilianna Izadi, Austin Johnston, Brandon Johnston, Hannah Johnston, Aiden Lovelace, Karley Lovelace, Kayin Lovelace, Alexandra Nelson, Anastasia Nelson, Michael Steinebrunner and Tommy Steinebrunner.
Over the last several years, Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy has sponsored teams for the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk for breast cancer, Avon Walk for breast cancer, and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. To date, they have raised approximately $30,000.00 for the fight against cancer.
Sykesville Tae Kwon Do Academy has been providing Martial Arts instruction to members of the Sykesville/Eldersburg community for over 20 years. Age appropriate programs are available for ages 18 months through adult.
